CARAVELAIR
The French Caravelair brand, part of the Trigano Group, has its Antarès range sold in the UK through fellow Trigano Group subsidiary Marquis Leisure. For 2019, Antarès continues in the UK with the same six layouts – the two-berth 335, four-berth 406, 455, 480 and 485, and the six-berth 496. However, not introducing new layouts has given Caravelair the chance to work on the outside of the vans.
New construction
For 2019, all models comes with new front and rear panels, with the aim of making them look more modern. They have also been put together using a new system of construction, known as IRP, which is designed to provide better insulation and protection. This involves XPS insulation, an extra-firm hydrophobic foam; a combination of wood and composite for walls, roof and floors to combine the longevity of composite with the sturdiness of wood; and a protective hail-proof GRP skin. Caravelair says that all of this has been achieved without adding greatly to cost or the overall weight of the van.
