This is an adults-only haven from the outside world, with perfectly manicured pitches surrounded by landscapin­g, all in the heart of rolling countrysid­e just a stone’s throw from Chew Valley Lake. The location is also ideal for visiting both Bath and Bristol, and you can leave your car on-site to avoid parking problems, as the village has a regular bus service. The site is open all year round, with fully serviced hardstandi­ngs. You don’t even need to worry about pitching your van, as the on-site staff do this for you. The facilities are refurbishe­d annually to keep them in tip-top shape, and include a utility room with laundry machines and luxurious individual bathrooms. The campsite also has a free internet kiosk and a freezer, a lending library and Wi-fi. If you travel with your pets, there’s also an on-site dog walk and you will find that the site in general is very dog-friendly. For those of you who enjoy outdoor pursuits and want to stretch your legs, you could head to the country park, with its championsh­ip fishing lake and plenty of wildlife; a great place for birdwatchi­ng. There is also a pub and a shop within a five-minute walk of the campsite.
