2 Waterrow Touring Park

-

Waterrow is another adults-only touring park, this time in the south of the county between Taunton and Exmoor National Park. Open all year, it provides an excellent base from which to explore the south and west of Somerset. You don’t have to go far, though – there’s plenty to see and do within a 30-minute drive, including Dulverton, the gateway to Exmoor National Park. The village of Waterrow also has some great walking nearby, and is on the West Deane Way, a circular walk that takes in Taunton, the Quantock Hills and the valley of the River Tone. The park sits in the idyllic wooded valley of the River Tone, and experienced anglers are welcome to fish the river. There are pleasant woodland and riverside walks here, and a dedicated dog exercise area. Elsewhere on the park you’ll find carefully laid out pitches surrounded by shrubs for privacy. The pitches are all hardstanding, with two being extra-large and 28 of them fully serviced, with water and grey waste connections as well as the standard 16A electric hook-up and TV. The site facilities are well-maintained, with showers, toilets, a disabled wet room, Wi-fi and laundry machines.
