11 Pelerine Caravan & Camping Site, Gloucestershire

Practical Caravan - - Travel County Counsel -

This small, pleasant campsite is surrounded by hedging, but that does not restrict your views of the surrounding countryside. The site is located just a few miles from the small town of Newent, which has a good selection of shops and eateries, and a picturesque lake. Newent Lake has much to warrant a visit – newly restored, it is a haven for wildlife and a venue for leisure pursuits. This is a family-friendly site, but there is also a separate adults-only area, so you can have the best of both worlds. Facilities are kept spotless and include toilets, showers, a family bathroom and disabled access, plus a camper’s kitchen and chemical-disposal point. The five-acre site has level grass pitches, as well as a field for ball games on the family-friendly side of the site. Another nice touch is that you can hire fire pits and chimineas, both of which could make for relaxing family time around the fire, with the stars twinkling above you. The location is perfect for exploring local attractions, such as the Three Choirs Vineyard, for which a taxi service is also available. Strawberry Hill Vineyard and Newent town are just a 10-minute walk away from the site.
