DIESEL WON’T DIE, BUT WILL COST MORE
In response to Richard Hall’s letter about electric cars in your January issue (p8): I don’t think there will ever be a vehicle, car or van in everyone’s price range capable of towing a caravan. They would be too expensive for the average caravanner to be able to buy. Plus, where would one charge the vehicle? Many farmers’ fields don’t have electric hook-ups. Diesel will never die because this fuel powers every lorry, van and so on used in the real world. I’ve just seen on the news that France is protesting about a diesel fuel price rise, as nearly every vehicle runs on it. Will this be our future? Graham Hawkins
