Tilshead Caravans

Tilshead Caravans, in Wiltshire, was set up by Malcolm and Marilyn Redshaw in 1979 as a caravan-hire business.

The firm moved to its current home on the Hampshire/ Wiltshire border in 2000, but it wasn’t until 2006 that it started selling new Swift vans; partly at the suggestion of Swift Group, which was impressed by the number of new vans it was buying from other dealers for its hire business.

Tilshead took on Coachman in 2012 and, alongside sales and hire, there is a small shop, an awning display and an Aws-approved service centre.

James Redshaw, one of the second generation now in the business, says the dealership remaining a family business is one of its key strengths: “We know that we need to get the service right.”
