FUNDING A GUIDE DOG

-

Morris Leisure, which owns six caravan parks in Shropshire and North Wales, has contributed towards raising £15,000 for Guide Dogs for the Blind. The Shrewsbury company, working in partnership with sister brands Morris Lubricants and GB Lubricants, had originally started with a £10,000 target. Sharne Kirkwood, corporate partnerships executive at Guide Dogs for the Blind, thanked the three firms for their “amazing support”. “Their fundraising will pay for the first two years of training for a guide dog puppy, aptly named Morris,” she said, “with £10,000 going to support Morris from birth. The other £5000 will support the kit that Morris will need, as well as the matching process and his final qualification, training with a person who is blind or partially sighted.” Morris Lubricants’ executive chairman Andrew Goddard is pictured above right, with Dave Bloor from Guide Dogs for the Blind.
