the dunes and butting onto the beach aptly known as Big Sands. We had arranged to meet up with two sets of friends here. Each of them had been out on their own journeys and after locating each other, we decided that we would all go out to dinner. The Shieling Restaurant in Gairloch was our venue. And what a wonderful meal we had!”

As my map advised us, if you cannot accurately reverse your vehicle several hundred yards on a narrow single-track road, you cannot safely drive over this road.”

Yet again, a great welcome as we were shown to our pitch. A golf course lies between the site and the beach, which you can cross, with care, to gain access to the beach.” ›
