Caravan found before owner aware of theft

A stolen van was recovered by police before its owner became aware it had been taken. Derbyshire Roads Policing Unit had stopped

a Ford Transit on the A50 as it had no numberplates. The caravan it was towing was found to have been stolen. The real owner was “tucked up at home in bed”, oblivious to the loss.
