CONTINENTAL BRANDS

If you’re after something with more of a European style, Hall 2 is where to go.

Adria’s best-selling Adora range has had a complete revamp, both inside and out. The smart new exterior has wind diffusers along the corners at the front and a sleeker rear panel with LED multifunctional lights.

Inside there are fewer bulkheads and partitions, with areas of the van marked out by different overhead lockers. Any partitions here are made of cloth.

Clever innovations include cushions in the lounge that you can roll up to form a headrest, and a rail running around most of the van, onto which you attach trays or baskets for storage.

The three models that were available at season launch have now been joined by the Tiber (7), with an in-line island bed and central washroom layout, just like the Altea Dart.

Special anniversary

For 2021 Knaus has replaced its Starclass range with the new North Star Selection (10). The five models in the line-up have Alde underfloor heating and a 177-litre fridge. The German firm is also marking its 60th anniversary with special-edition Südwind models, which have exclusive upholstery. And one new layout, the 500 UE, has been added to the range.

Knaus’s budget Weinsberg brand, meanwhile, has pushed the boat out with its new Caracito (11), which can run entirely on electricity.

The Caracito 390QD has a transverse bed across the front and a rear corner dinette that makes up into another double. It comes with a 230V glass ceramic hob, 60-litre compressor fridge, and combined heating and air-con. With an OTR of £14,999, it is keenly priced.

The only completely new model in the Eriba 2021 line-up is the Nova 590 (9), with an end washroom, transverse island bed and wraparound seating at the front which can be converted intointo aa double bed. The 2000kg

MTPLM four-berth includes two portable battery-operated lights that can be used as reading lights, table lamps or torches.

Freedom Caravans is continuing with the largely custom-built Freecross range, which it started importing from Spain last year. As a result of the of the lockdowns, its main Polish-built caravan ranges will continue unchanged for the new season.

For the UK market

Finally, moving a little further overseas, for 2021 Airstream has launched its first all-new model specifically designed for the UK market since 2015.

The 25IB (8) is the same length as the existing (and very popular) Airstream 684 model, but comes with a retractable island bed, a rear washroom and a clever stowaway TV, all fitted as standard.

The new model also has something that Airstream is introducing across all of its vans – fully composite floors.
