When to go

Summer is spectacular in Scotland, but the climate is changeable, so it’s best to pack all-weather gear. May to September is also midge season, so make sure you have repellent and suitable clothing.

Way to go

We like to make the trip part of the holiday, so we took our time and stopped overnight with family in the Midlands. Once in the Highlands, there are plenty of great driving routes to explore.

Our outfit

We towed our 2017 Eriba Troll 550 (Tintin) with our 2015 Škoda Yeti (Snowy).
