BAREFOOT FEST 2022

-

MICRO-CARAVAN BRAND Barefoot celebrated its second annual gathering in the Cotswolds this spring. Barefoot Fest 2022 took place over three days, close to the baby-tourer’s factory in Moreton-inMarsh, with owners travelling from as far afield as Scotland.

The community event was the brainchild of Simon Bull, a Barefoot caravan owner who set up the Barefoot Caravan Owners’ Group on Facebook in 2019.

The group has grown in size to become a thriving community of Barefoot caravan enthusiasts, who share great travel stories and photos, recommend campsites and reveal numerous helpful hints and tips.

“The first Barefoot Fest took place last year after lockdown and the atmosphere was incredible,” Simon said. “Everyone was thrilled to be able to show off their caravan, with their own special customisation, and following lockdown, we were all ready for another great party.

“When the group met up again this spring, it felt like a friends’ reunion,” he added.

Barefoot Fest features live music, food and drink, a raffle, dog walks, barbecues and the opportunity to simply sit in the sun and chat with like-minded folk. All in some of England’s finest countryside.

“Caravans are a great way to take your four-legged friends on holiday, and this year’s Barefoot Fest had a special dog show, which was one of the highlights of the weekend,” Simon said. “Prizes were awarded for the waggiest tail, best trick, the dog looking most like their owner and best-dressed dog.”

The prizegiving was followed by Pimm’s on the lawn, against the stunning backdrop of the Cotswold Hills and Broadway Tower. John Sootheran
