IAN: I rebuilt this car over 11 years in my garage. All the panels needed work, although the chassis is a US import. I am a member of the TR Register Clyde valley Group so it gets plenty of outings in summer. It’s great driving something you have restored yourself.

DAVID: I owned BMW E30s for years, I owned a lot of them. I had a stroke a few years ago and sold everything. Then I bought this TR6 project and it has been a kind of therapy. It has helped me slow down a bit and focus. Rebuilding the Lucas PI injection system has been absorbing!

ALEC: I’ve had my TR6 for ten years and restored it from the ground up with the help of my son Jack. The most difficult part was aligning the body panels. It was a real father and son labour of love and I miss the process, so we’ve bought a Triumph 1500. Jack's leading that project – he has to earn pocket money somehow!
