Practical Classics (UK)

MY ADVICE TO OTHERS

-

‘You have to be patient and willing to get your hands dirty when you own a classic. You need to appreciate that the car will have quirks and foibles not present in a modern one – but they’re what give it character. You stand out from the crowd when you drive a classic, and there’s a huge social element to owning one. I regularly have conversations with complete strangers about cars when I’m filling it up with petrol, not to mention the great people you get to know by attending shows and rallies. You can engage with the car so much more than you can with a modern, and learn so much more about driving. You’re a lot closer to the action!’
