THE DISCOVERY MARKET

-

Prices start at about £1000 for a car that’s clinging to an MOT and go right the way up to £15,000 for a mint, low-mileage example with the right spec. This would include leather trim (facelift only), seven seats, electric adjustment for the front seats (optional on facelift) and FSH. Budget around £5000 for a nice Discovery with 70,000 miles on the clock. The press cars are sought after (known as G-WACS as they were all registered Gxxx WAC); 86 were made, and half scrapped. Even a tatty car is now £15,000, pristine examples at least twice this. Collectors see G-WACS as akin to the Range Rover Velar prototypes.
