‘I found him in a field in Burford’
1978 MGB GT ‘Morris’ Melissa Farrow, Wantage
I first got 'Morris' in 2017 from a field in Burford. It had been stood there since 2009 if the last MOT is to be believed. I had never restored a car before, but I have had many MG’S. My first car was an MG ZR (called Donald). I name all my cars and my interest in MGS started through watching MG Trophy races. I learnt a lot on my MG ZR but an MGB was my first traditional classic. I am self taught and so far, on Morris, I have welded both sills, around the window, floor and many other parts. The engine was solid. When I got him out of the field we put new plugs and fuel in and he fired straight up. Next job is paint, which I plan to do myself.
Paint job is next for Melissa and her MGB.
