Votes flood in for PC campaign to find Britain’s Best Classic Car Club

-

Regional and local cubs swamped the Practical

Classics stand at the NEC Classic Motor Show last month in the race to make theirs officially Britain’s best. The ballot boxes were stuffed – but the poll is still open. Enthusiasts are being urged to cast their votes online: practical classics. co.uk/bbcccoty.

Criteria for the competition include the friendliness of members, the quality of club activities and charity work.

Alongside partner Footman James, PC is celebrating all the UK’S regional and local branches in 2019 by asking readers to choose their favourite. After this the mostvoted for clubs will be whittled down to ten.

The shortlist will then be visited by PC as part of an epic road trip in June – the team will set off on a journey to all four corners of the country to meet the men and women who make all the difference to the classic car scene.

What happens next, then?

Stage 1: Tell us what you think is the best regional or local car club online at: practical classics.co.uk/bbcccoty before January 3.

Stage 2: Our team of judges will select the top 30 clubs between January 4 and 7.

Stage 3: YOU then have to vote for your favourite between January 23 and March 1.

Stage 4: We will announce the top ten at the Practical Classics Restoration Show on March 22-24.

Stage 5: We’ll visit the top 10 in June (we’d love you to join us!) on a tour of the country to all of Britain’s best classic car clubs. Remember: This is for regional and local classic car clubs only.
