ROUND THE WORLD IN A P4?

Having read Sam Glover’s specifications for a round-the-world classic, a Rover P4 popped into my mind. Then, thinking back to my travels on Zimbabwe’s back roads, an Austin Cambridge would be another good bet, particularly in pick-up form. I also recall a 4WD armoured car – an Eland MKIV – hounded by a bus driver in his AVM (Daf). In that bus driver’s hands, it met all of Sam’s demanding requirements for a globe-trotting classic.
