‘It’s well into its second time around the clock’

1951 Riley Roadster John Edwards, Holyhead

-

I’ve celebrated 50 years of Riley Roadster ownership. It was found in a hedgerow and I have had it refurbished twice. I did a Scottish tour and been to France twice, Spain once, Ireland and the Isle of Man – we've shared many adventures. It's in excellent order mechanically and nicely painted in light blue, and the finish is still good.

When I bought the car it had done 25k miles, but there were some lost miles due to fitting a fivespeed Volvo box without a speedo drive. I solved the issue and now the clock has over 70,000 miles, but this is the second time round!
