‘It’s the Children in Need Allegro!’

This is my Austin Allegro with just over 60k miles. I bought it a few months ago after seeing an ad with a fascinating description. It said the car had passed through the hands of Edd China after which it was auctioned and the proceeds given to the Children in Need charity in 2014.

On viewing, the interior was letting the car down. I located another interior which has transformed the car. I replaced the exhaust system, and serviced it, then the car was ready for the local shows. It gets its fair share of interest and after a show at Battlesbridge, a photo was posted on Facebook that prompted the winner of the earlier Children in Need auction to get in touch. He told me of his time with the car and sent me pics of the auction and its bonnet bearing various celebrities' signatures, which verified the story I was told.
