1 JUNE 2010 Accident damage

After the Midget is hit from behind Ken repairs the damage, but is now thinking about undertaking a full restoration.

2 DEC 2015 Rust was hiding

Within a month Ken’s aware there’s serious rot in several places… here’s the base of the offside A-post.

3 AUGUST 2016 Engine goes back in

The rebuilt engine and Ford gearbox repainted and ready to be placed back in the Midget.

4 SEPT 2016 Handmade panels

Here’s one of many repair panels Ken made. This is for the sill by the rear wheelarch and was hand-formed from the old door skin.

5 FEBRUARY 2017 Rolling down the road

The rolling shell goes off for the topcoats of paint. Ken had got the body into primer and all the panel gaps correct first, though.

6 APRIL 2017 Looking good

Following a bit of welding and some final adjustment, Ken’s mate Bob Ingam adds five coats of Black Tulip paint and it’s back to Ken for final assembly.
