Challenging GT

Saab offered a 50bhp GT750 twin-carb version of the 93. It could be further hopped up to 55bhp with the GT750 Super upgrade. The rally-bred Super was virtually undriveable as regular transport, with little response below 3400rpm and gearchanges recommended at 5600rpm. The rev counter warned: ‘Do not exceed half-throttle under 3000rpm’.
