1 Front suspension

The suspension is bristling with rubber bushes, all of which can deteriorate. Visually inspect each bush. Apply pressure using a lever and look for play and slop. Check the springs for corrosion and damage. Make sure the rubber cups above the springs aren’t dropping to pieces. Inspect the shock absorbers for leaks and check their bushes, too. Use the lever to check for play in the upper and lower balljoints. Check the balljoint boots for splits, damage and deterioration.
