Big themes are revealed

NEC ‘Top Trumps’ and Beaulieu’s ‘Golden Oldies’

-

The theme of the 35th anniversary Lancaster Insurance Classic Motor Show, with Discovery, has been revealed as: Top Trumps. The idea is that visitors to the show will be able to revisit the iconic card game in a variety of ways as they explore the various displays. Headline sponsor Lancaster Insurance, will be launching a special edition pack of Top Trumps at the three-day show, held at Birmingham’s NEC from 8-10 November.

As part of the theme, clubs and exhibitors will be able to create a ‘Top Trumps’ card to act as the vehicle’s info board displaying five key facts. Not only will this create the biggest pack of Top Trumps ever, it will also give visitors a potential 15,000 motoring facts to enjoy. You can even play the game as you enjoy the UK’S biggest indoor motoring event.

Practical Classics will, once again, be there in force with exciting stand vehicles, show offers, live displays and a ridiculously ambitious

stage build (to be revealed in the next issue). To book, visit necclassicmotorshow.com.

Beaulieu, meanwhile, is inviting owners of pre-1970 classic and vintage vehicles to take part in a Golden Oldies display at the International Autojumble in the grounds of the National Motor Museum on September 7-8. As well as taking part in the display, owners can enjoy a complimentary weekend of bargain-hunting among the 2000-plus stands. Visit beaulieu. co.uk/events/internationalautojumble or call 01590 614614 for details on how to apply.

For more than 50 years, the International Autojumble has been an unmissable date on the calendar. The show will offer a final look at our own Golden Oldie – Bluebell, the 1959 Standard Ten, a car that we helped save from Ford’s scrappage scheme in 2018, before it heads back north. Once again you can meet the PC team at the show, too.
