‘Introducing Desmond the Derby!’

Quite out of the blue, a friend offered me first viewing on his grandmother’s old car, which she had left to him. Being a serial classic Volkswagen fan, I couldn’t believe it when I found out what it was! I decided to put off my Beetle restoration for a year and I am now the proud owner of a VW Derby GLS. He has been christened ‘Desmond’ and I am looking forward to some happy times ahead. My wife however, is far from impressed – at least the cat likes it!
