‘A very strange year, but I still managed a trip to Norfolk’
2002 MG TF 135, Mark Elliot, Sheffield
In a very strange year I did manage to get a few miles in my MG TF 135 and drove to West Norfolk. On Friday September 4, between lockdowns, I drove the
115 miles from Sheffield to Norfolk. I got to the Holdingham roundabout where the A17 meets the A15 in good time then in light traffic, at a steady speed, I passed field after field being harvested. Then, with the most amazing sunset in my mirrors I knew I only had a few miles to go. A great journey on a beautiful September evening came to an end as I arrived at my destination. The next few days were spent with the MG’S top down, as I wanted to have a drive around the local area… and what a delight that was. I passed through some of the most beautiful villages which seem to have a church in each one. Beachamwell, West Acre, East Walton and the village of Pentney. When the current lockdown is over, I'm looking forward to doing it all again.
