The Reliant Sabre & Scimitar Owners’ Club holds many events throughout the year, including attending two NEC shows, the Silverstone Classic and an International meeting, while also maintaining a presence at many local shows right across the country. There are also local monthly ‘Noggin’ meetings throughout the UK where owners and prospective owners take the chance to meet in an informal and relaxed atmosphere at local pubs to discuss their cars.
The club website – scimitarweb.co.uk – provides information about the club and the cars, plus it is also home to the RSSOC Discussion Forum, which always has a wealth of information being shared.
The club shop is also on the website offering merchandise and publications. The club’s ever-popular Slice magazine, which is sent out to members on a bi-monthly basis, is always packed with information, technical articles and reports from events, too.
Back on track
The club will be holding its Scimfest weekend at the Curborough Sprint Circuit, north of Lichfield on August 12-15, with an autotest and various other activities on offer throughout the weekend. The event is open to the public on the Sunday, which is when the main sprint competition is held with the Scimitars, plus Ferraris and many other classic cars taking part on the track. Plus, there will be also be a concours event on the Sunday, many Scimitars to view and an autojumble – head down for a great day out.
