Midget & Sprite Club

Four decades of fun in diminutive British sports cars!

-

Having celebrated its 40th anniversary in 2023, the Midget & Sprite Club goes from strength to strength. The largest club dedicated solely to MG Midgets and Austin-healey Sprites, there are even more national and local area events planned for the coming year. Members range from those looking for their first car to specialists like club founder Terry Horler – who has quite literally written the book on these vehicles (his Original Sprite & Midget remains one of the leading restoration guides). You’ll be able to meet some of them – and their cars – at the Practical Classics Classic Car & Restoration Show in March. Find them on Stand 340 in

Hall Five.

The club provides a welcoming and friendly community of like-minded individuals with numerous opportunities to get out and enjoy these delightful little cars in the company of others. From monthly club nights to social runs and organised meets – and not forgetting the font of all club-related news, the award-winning monthly magazine Mascot – membership is not just entry into any old car club, it’s a way of life. The club is particularly proud of its growing youth section, many of whom enjoy nothing more than showing off their latest projects.

It just goes to prove that these little sports cars are affordable classics with universal appeal.

Whether you are the original owner of a Fifties Frogeye or later model, compete in motorsport events, or simply enjoy a leisurely (or spirited) drive, the Midget & Sprite Club caters to everyone and the common desire to keep these little cars running.
