Can I add a second tang?

-

Can I mix more than one tang in my reef tank? I have a Yellow tang at the moment. Which species would you recommend I add? The tank is approximately 150x60x60cm in its dimensions.

JEREMY REPLIES: Yes, you can mix different species of tangs in the same aquarium, and your tank size is about the minimum I would recommend for doing so. Keep the shape, pattern and behaviour different so avoid other Zebrasoma species like Scopas and Purple and instead go for a Bristletooth tang or a Regal tang. Avoid Powder blues as they always get whitespot, Sohals as they are large and aggressive, and Lipstick tangs, as while these are peaceful, they will grow too large for your tank.
