TREAT WITH CAUTION
Knifefish tend to be more sensitive to fish medicines than many popular fish such as tetras, barbs, and catfish. It’s a good idea to avoid formalin and copper based medications entirely, and if you do need to use other fish medications, check with the manufacturer that they’re safe to use with ‘sensitive’ species like loaches and stingrays. If they are, they’re probably going to be safe with knifefish as well.
