Elizabeth’s dwarf cichlid
Talk about a fish that can flaunt it when it needs to. A quality male specimen can put on the most amazing show of colour when in breeding dress, while the fins are easily some of the most elaborate of any of the species here — fully erect they create a near-continuous sail of bright blue and burnt orange. Alas, when not displaying, they can be unremarkably bland. Note that there are several regional forms, so be careful not to mix them up and create hybrids.
