NOT ALL AT SEA
As well as living underwater, there are land dwelling hermit crabs. Of these, the Robber crab, Birgus latro, is the largest terrestrial arthropod alive, able to reach weights of over 4kg and with a leg span of over 100cm. Its claws are powerful enough to open coconuts (on which it feeds), and while it is mainly a herbivore and carrion feeder, it also has a reputation for catching and eating live seabirds at night.
