Threadfin butterflyfish

Threadfins (also sold as Auriga butterflyish) are one of the staples of marine stores and are amongst the easiest to feed. Offer a generalist but meaty diet including plenty of mysid shrimps, copepods and enriched Artemia, and if they ever seems off of their food, try giving them an opened clam. May also nibble at algae preparations. The species has been kept successfully in tanks with soft corals, though hard corals are going to be nipped.
