Blight of the Big Fish Campaign

-

Pangasius cats were one of the six ‘problem fish’ that led to the formation of the Big Fish Campaign, led by The Deep in Hull and Dr Peter Burgess. The campaign came about because in just a four-month period, 11 public aquariums were asked to rehome 144 different tankbuster fish. Today, the campaign has lost some momentum, and many of these tankbusters are making an appearance in stores again. Unfortunately,

Pangasius are also very cheap fish to buy, and so many are picked up by accident when a retailer hasn’t vetted a customer by asking questions before selling them.
