THE FULL MONTY
Adventurer and TV presenter Monty Halls joins Van Live! for a video Q&A, chatting about his many adventures in the UK and overseas
Monty Halls has managed to pack in a lot over the years – he’s a broadcaster, speaker, naturalist, former Royal Marine, marine biologist, travel writer and leadership specialist, not to mention running his own TV and film production company.
Monty’s experience covers more than two decades of leading teams in some of the most remote environments on Earth, presenting wildlife and adventure documentaries, and working with blue-chip companies both here in the UK and overseas.
It’s that appetite for life that has taken him shark diving in South Africa, seen him take his young family to the Galápagos, and found him enjoying remote getaways as a wildlife ranger in the Outer Hebrides and a whale and dolphin conservation officer on the remote west coast of Ireland.
Camping and exploring
Given that spirit of adventure, it only stands to reason that he’s a keen camper, too, and he loves to explore the UK.
As Monty said in a recent interview: “I’ve long said it, but the UK has some of the most bucolic, wondrous landscapes on Earth, it really does, and sometimes it takes a spell of enforced nearness to our surroundings to bring that home. ‘Britain has some of the most reliably beautiful countryside anywhere in the world,’ none other than Bill Bryson has said, and there’s a chap who knows a thing or two about travel.”
We’re delighted Monty is joining Van Live! for an exclusive interview about his exciting adventures and love of camping. Join Monty in Conversation in the Events Theatre on Monday 18 October 2021.
