Refurbished Club sites are open for business
Bookings are now open for stays from late summer at two recently refurbished Camping and Caravanning Club sites in England – Chertsey, in Surrey, and Bowness-on-Windermere, in the Lake District National Park (pictured below).
Work is currently taking place at Bowness-on-Windermere Club Site and Chertsey Club Site, one of the oldest in the Club’s network. Once complete, both sites will have been fully refurbished at a cost in excess of £2.5 million.
Nicola Simpson, the Club’s Director of Marketing and Insight, said: “We’re really looking forward to welcoming campers to our Chertsey and Bowness-on-Windermere sites, which have received a lot of care and attention in recent months.”
Both will be open all year. Chertsey is an ideal base for exploring London and the Thames, to which it has direct access.
Bowness-on-Windermere, meanwhile, is located close to the lake shore and the towns of Bowness and Windermere. On-site facilities at Chertsey include:
•Fully refurbished amenity block
•Hot water dog-wash facility and indoor dishwashing area
•Family facility in a wet room style and on-site laundry
•Children’s play area
•Resurfaced site roads and refurbished hardstandings. New features at the Bowness-on-Windermere Club Site include:
•Additional hardstandings
•Extension to the facility block
•Refurbished reception building
•One fully private and enclosed wash and shower room in both the male and female facility blocks
•Hot-water dog-wash facility.
