Icelandic aurora

Practical Photography (UK) - - Beyond The Lens - by Mads Peter Iversen

These images are from my first trip to Iceland in autumn 2015. My goal was to visit and photograph the iconic locations Iceland is known for – Mount Kirkjufell and the Skógafoss and Dettifoss waterfalls. Unfortunately, I visited these places in less than optimal conditions, as it was mostly overcast. Fortunately, I did get clear skies with aurora earlier in the trip, so I simply composited the flat landscape with the northern lights to create this set of photos.
