ON THE list of teams worth having a punt on at the forthcoming Classic TT, then Team Classic Suzuki have to be one of the favourites. The reason? They’ve just announced that, as in 2015, their trio of riders will be Michael Dunlop, Lee Johnston and Nick Jefferies – hardly a shabby bunch, is it?

The three racers – Dunlop himself a double Classic TT winner – will be on these tasty looking Gsx-r1100-engined XR69S, and you wouldn’t bet against them. “As reigning champions in the Superbike class we are fully committed to defending that position and off the back of an incredible TT, Michael Dunlop is definitely the man for the job,” said team owner Steve Wheatman. “Lee Johnson is back to full fitness after a crash earlier in the year and in Neil Jefferies we have a real legend of the TT with a lot of experience.” We’ll be watching with keen interest… For tickets, see iomtt.com
