Split the ring
Any tips on removing this Kawasaki ZXR750 bearing cone on the bottom yoke? It’s being a right pain, and I can’t shift it. I’ve tried heat to no effect. Simon Chandler, PS Facebook Group
Pete O’dell says: Take a mini grinding disc in a Dremel or similar rotary tool and cut across the ring. They’re under quite a lot of tension and sometime this alone is enough for it to crack and let go. If it isn’t, give it a little help with a cold chisel and a hammer once you’ve cut a slot in it. That should do the trick.
