Bonhams beauties sale
Bonhams have got some serious metal on their books at the moment, with a 40-strong collection of rare and exotic bikes looking for new homes at the firm’s Stafford auction.
The machines, including a ’73 MV Agusta 750S expected to make an eye-watering £70,000£90,000, a 1970 Münch Mammoth (you’ll need to be packing up to 100 large to take that home), were the result of a lifetime of collecting by the late Miklos ‘Mike’ Salamon. The Surrey based former mining tycoon made it his post-retirement mission to acquire all of his dream machines.
The collection isn’t all telephone-numbers exotica. There’s also a 1979 CBX1000, a ’76 Z900 A4 and a ’77 Benelli 750 Sei looking for new owners.
Bonhams were busy on the other side of the globe in January, rehoming a 74 miles from new Yamaha OW01 for £24,000 and a never used Us-spec RC30 for – gulp – 64 grand...
