1997 Yamaha TRX850
Ifirst bought my TRX in 2005. After a few years of ownership I sold it to my brother-in-law in 2008. He did 500 miles on it then laid it up in a leaky cowshed. Needless to say, it was in a shocking state when I purchased it back from him in 2015, but still with only 15k on the clock.
After a six-month stripdown and refurb, I fitted an R6 shock and CNC adapter; R6 brakes, wheels and forks; SS dog bones; FZR400RR headlight; twin Renegade cans; K&N air filter; Würth fork springs; and a modified AR125 bellypan. It now makes a handy 76bhp at the wheel.
Rescued from an uncertain fate in the hands of a careless relative
