1980 The worst one...

“I owned this 1978 Kawasaki KH250 for a few months. It broke down all the time; once three times in seven miles. I bought a bus pass because of this bike. It collapsed on its centre-stand in the garage one day and I just walked away from it.”

2016 The best one...

“18 years on and I still have this Thundercat despite several newer bikes. The definitive Ps-era bike and I have no intention of getting rid of it. Pillion comfort is top notch and my wife refuses to go on more glamorous, faster bikes in the stable.”

1985 The one that got away...

“My first Powervalve is still strong in my memory, as much for the time in my life that it represented as for its technical abilities. It is still on the DVLA database to this day, although on SORN, and was Mot’d as recently as 2011.”

2015 The current one...

“My 1994 Kawasaki Zephyr 550 was customised in a single day by me and my friends from Twisted Iron. I also have a standard 1990 version of the same bike.”
