Short and sweet (and cheap)
22 April Hoghton Tower Sprint
Getting into bike sport can be a right old hassle and expense, what with licences, courses and all that. Sprint racing does away with all that tedious nonsense and, in the case of the Hoghton Tower Sprint, gets you on the start line for just a tenner. Old bikes are what the Hoghton event is all about too, so it’s perfect for early PS machines. There’s grub on site and plenty of spectating space; dogs are not allowed on safety grounds. Quite right too, anyone thinking of entering their canine into the sprint needs a serious word with themselves. Practice starts at 9.30, racing at 11am.
