The great GPZ revival

Practical Sportsbikes (UK) - - PS MAIL -

I’ve been buying this magazine since the very first issue, I was really looking forward to issue 90 April 18 because I own a GPZ900. While enjoying my Sunday morning cup of tea and PS read, I started to read the write-up about the GPZ Revolution (by the way fantastic article).

I noticed the photos from 1989 Brit GP for Charles Dewing and mates then the reg. hit me from the red and silver 900; I just happen to have that bike in my garage which I obtained in bits in a box with a frame back in 2005.

I have spent all those years slowly collecting and rebuilding, putting things back together, and saving it from being made into a hardtail chopper. I wanted it back as close to original as possible.

After seeing the photos I have always wondered what the bike’s history was, and after seeing these photos in your article it’s given me a fresh new look on the bike. I have attached a photo. Many thanks. Craig Beech, Bilston, West Midlands
