If you thought the chance of owning a Ducati 748 had passed you by, think again. This 748BP went for just £2300 – that’s half the price you’d normally expect to lay out. The seller says it’s on Jersey documents so it shouldn’t be too hard to get a UK plate. That also means that during its time in the Channel Isles its barely had its legs stretched. It needs tidying here are there, and you’d want to put a chunk aside for belts, tyres etc. Even then it’s a steal.
That’s the cheapest 748 I’ve seen for a while. I reckon the Jersey plate may have put some off. Coming from close to the sea can be a curse as well as a blessing – sea air equals corrosion. But even so it’s a less than salty price.
From the Channel Islands. Did that put people off? If so, why?
You won’t get close to experiencing a proper Ducati for this sort of money very often
