Wire-spoked rims and how to true them

An unavoidable truth about wirespoke wheels is that they go out of true. Our own Mark Graham was most concerned about the apparent run-out of the front wheel on his 2002 Kawasaki TR250. Tyre change time afforded the perfect opportunity to pop the wheel in the jig to get it back in line. In MOT terms you can be up to 4mm out of round and side-to-side, a more acceptable figure to the conscientious mechanic is 2mm or less. Best do the best job we can for our esteemed colleague.
