Ifound this bike in Texas with a bad en­gine. It had thrown a rod and I paid $300 for it. Among the parts I dis­cov­ered a solo seat. It was an orig­i­nal ZX-7RR tail piece. Once I’d stripped away the sil­ver paint it came up like new. I sold it, but later found an­other one. I also dis­cov­ered a full ti­ta­nium Hin­dle sys­tem. Re­sult. Run­ning gear is 2007 ZX-10R (which saved about 70lbs), al­though the shock is 7R – fit­ting the 10R part would have re­quired hack­ing up the bat­tery tray. My wife and two sons were in­stru­men­tal dur­ing the build.
