Rebuild your Bimota

Practical Sportsbikes (UK) - - Bikes Of Your Life -

Further to your article on Bimota (PS, Nov 2018), I would like to rectify a few comments on the SB6: 1/ the drive sprocket can be changed without dropping

Big Aprilias are the engine. 2/ absolute the fairing barg? can be removed without taking front wheel out, but it takes two people.

Other things that potential new owners should be aware of: 1/ Antera wheels ruin the handling. Throw them in a skip, and fit Dymag carbons – problem solved. Bikes fitted with Marchesini are fine. 2/ Alternator drive coupling failure – is the SB6’S main fault. I shredded two in less than 5000miles. I sourced an alternative Suzuki gearbox alternator drive shaft that eliminates the drive coupling.
