Who is Nick Allison?
Lincolnshire lad Nick was brought up between Louth and Cadwell before moving to Jersey in ’83 (“I’m still a yellow belly at heart – I’ve got the Lincolnshire flag on my helmet”). He started proddie racing in ’85 with a 350 YPVS, then raced in the CBR600 challenge before going 1300 National level on a 1000 EXUP.
“I broke legs, among other setbacks…”
In 1989 he won the Earlystocks championship on a GS1000, although living in Jersey made it hard to chase other titles. He’s also scared himself racing at the North West 200, had a crack at classic endurance, and been part of the UK team at the Phillip Island Classic between 20062009.
“I’m free for classic endurance next year, if anyone’s got a spare seat…”
“THE MOTOR WAS INITIALLY BUILT AT 1260CC, BUT COOLING ISSUES IN EARLY TESTING MEANT DOWNSIZING TO 1230”
