MICK’S TOP TIP

Practical Sportsbikes (UK) - - What I Do -

Place a folded rag between the chain and the rear sprocket and rotate the wheel until the chain is tight. This pulls the rear wheel in tight against the adjusters. Keep the tension on whilst you double check the wheel is perfectly aligned and torque the spindle nut. Remove the rag and lock off the adjusters. This ensures everything is properly tight and won’t have any chance of coming loose.
